The trail starts at the Lëkurësi Castle and winds through the lush forest, offering panoramic views of the Ionian Sea and the city below. The trail is about 2.5 km long and takes about an hour to complete. Another popular hiking trail is the Blue Eye trail. The Blue Eye is a natural spring with crystal-clear blue water that is about 50 meters deep. The trail to the Blue Eye is about 4 km long and takes about an hour and a half to complete. Along the way, you'll pass through a dense forest, cross wooden bridges, and see several smaller springs.


Biking:


Biking is another great way to explore Sarandë's natural beauty. There are several biking trails in and around Sarande, ranging from easy to challenging. One of the easiest trails is the Sarande-Pasqyra beach trail. The trail is about 7 km long and takes about an hour to complete. Along the way, you'll pass through olive groves, vineyards, and small villages. The trail ends at Pasqyra beach, a secluded beach with crystal-clear water.


For those looking for a more challenging trail, the Gjipe Canyon trail is a must-do. The trail starts at the Jale beach and winds through the Gjipe Canyon, offering stunning views of the canyon and the Ionian Sea. The trail is about 8 km long and takes about three hours to complete.


Kayaking:

Kayaking is another popular outdoor activity in Sarande. The Ionian Sea is perfect for kayaking, with calm waters and stunning scenery. There are several kayaking tours available, ranging from half-day to full-day tours. The tours take you to secluded beaches and hidden coves that can only be reached by kayak.


Caving:


Sarande is also home to several caves that are waiting to be explored. The most popular cave is the Blue Cave, located about 15 km from Sarande. The cave is accessible only by boat and is famous for its crystal-clear blue water. Inside the cave, you can swim in the water and see the sunlight reflecting off the walls, creating a stunning blue hue.
